Paul Vollman has exhibited widely over the past twenty years and his works are included in several public and private collections. Vollman’s technique is essentially traditional realist. However, in several works, Vollman employs the use of line to emphasize movement – a subject of intense interest to the artist.
Vollman studied painting under the late Barney Plogman at the University of Dayton as well as attending courses at the University of Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Art Academy.
Vollman currently serves on the Board of Trustees at the Cincinnati Art Club (“CAC”). The CAC is the second oldest running arts organization in the country and was founded in 1890. The founding members include Frank Duveneck, Henry Farney, Henry Twachtman, and Edward Potthast – some of the biggest names in American 20th Century art. The CAC consists of over 400 artists working together to advance the state of art in the community.
Paul Vollman was born in 1962 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and currently lives and works in the Covington, KY, Historic Riverside District.
